Punjabi sensation Guru Randhawa after winning over the hearts of fans with his chart buster songs, is now all set to make his acting debut. Yes, you read it right.
A while back, Guru shared the poster of his upcoming film titled ‘Shahkot’ on his social media handles. The stellar cast includes Guru Randhawa and Isha Talwar as the lead faces; and Raj Babbar, Seema Kaushal, Hardip Gill and Gurshabad in pivotal roles.
According to the post shared, the movie is all set to shine on the silver screens on October 4, 2024.

The film is written and directed by Rajiv Dhingra, who is very well known for show-Comedy Nights with Kapil, and for films like Love Punjab, and Firangi. The film has been produced by Anirudh Mohta who also owns Aim7Sky Studios; in association with 751 Films & Rapa Nui’s Films.
Music and background score has been done by Jatinder Shah. This movie will be theatrically distributed by Seven Colors, worldwide.
Expressing happiness and excitement on the venture, Rajiv Dhingra, Director of Shahkot said, “As a Director, my only aim to bring stories, with mass and class appeal for global audiences. With Shahkot, I can say that this is not a regular love story.”
In addition to this, Anirudh Mohta, Producer of Shahkot sharing his film production experience said, “I believe that Punjabi films are going to be the next big thing! My aim, as a Producer, is to bring new dimension in film making and bring forth stories which have the ability to evoke a feeling of shared emotions with our audiences across the globe”.
