Punjabi singer-rapper Badshah has mired himself in a legal suit. Actually, a media company sued him for non-payment of dues. In the lawsuit, the company claimed that they had signed a legal contract with the rapper-singer and all the discussed services with respect to the production as well as promotion of his recent track titled ‘Baawla’ were completed. Despite that, Badshah failed to clear the dues of those involved in the creation and marketing of the project.
A case has been filed in the Karnal District Court under CNR Number HRKR010130502024 and Case Number ARB 47/2024, and comprise of all the accusations from the complainants. It also states that multiple payment reminders were issued before taking legal action.
The company also alleged that the rapper gave false assurances every time they tried to follow-up on the matter. He also kept on postponing the payment deadlines and never made any actual payments.
‘Baawla’ is an independent song, which was released three years ago on Badshah’s YouTube channel. It features Badshah, Samreen Kaur and Amit Uchana. While female vocals have been given by Nirmala and Shakuntala; Badshah, Aditya Dev have worked on the music. Lyrics are also penned by the rapper himself. The song has garnered over 151 Million views on YouTube alone.
