Popular Punjabi singer B Praak took to Instagram to express his disappointment and strongly condemned the content promoted by Ranveer Allahbadia and the show. He stated that he was originally supposed to appear on BeerBiceps’ podcast but had chosen to cancel his participation, citing “pathetic thinking” and offensive language as his reason.
“Radhe Radhe, doston! Kaise ho aap sab? Main na yaar, ek podcast mein jaane wala tha abhi, jo Beer Biceps ka tha, par humne cancel kar diya. Kyun? Kyunki aapko pata hai ki waha kaisi pathetic thinking hai aur kaise shabd use kiye ja rahe hain? Samay Raina ke show pe jo ho raha hai, yeh hamara Indian culture nahi hai. Yeh bilkul bhi hamara culture nahi hai,” he said.
B Praak further criticized the kind of derogatory humor used in the show, particularly targeting the way personal stories about parents were being discussed, “Aap apne parents ki kaunsi stories bata rahe ho? Aap unki kaunsi baatein kar rahe ho? Kis tareeke se baatein kar rahe ho? Yeh comedy hai? This is not at all comedy! Yeh stand-up comedy toh bilkul bhi nahi hai. Logon ko gaaliyan dena, logon ko gaaliyan sikhana—yeh kaunsi generation hai? Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha ki yeh generation kaunsi hai.”
B Praak also addressed a segment featuring a Sikh guest on the show, questioning how someone from the Sikh community could endorse such language and behavior, “Aur dekho, ek Sardar ji aate hain show pe. Sardar ji, aapko pata hai ki aap ek Sikh ho, kya aapko yeh baatein shobha deti hain? ‘Mummy kaisi hai?’ Are you crazy? Aap kya sikh de rahe ho logon ko? Aap kya sikhana chah rahe ho? Aur woh Sardar ji apne Instagram pe proudly dalte hain ki ‘Main gaaliyan deta hoon toh kya problem hai?’ Humein problem hai, aur hamesha rahegi.”
The singer then shifted his focus to Ranveer Allahbadia, pointing out the contradiction in his messaging. While BeerBiceps is known for promoting Sanatan Dharma and spirituality, his participation in such content raised serious concerns, “Aur yeh Ranveer Allahbadia, aap Sanatan Dharma ko promote karte ho, spirituality ki baat karte ho. Aapke podcast pe itne bade-bade log aate hain, itne bade sant aate hain, aur fir bhi aapki soch itni ghatiya hai? Doston, agar hum yeh cheez abhi nahi rokenge, toh aane wali peedhi ka bhavishya bahut hi bura hone wala hai. Bahut hi zyada bura hone wala hai. Samay Raina aur jo bhi uss show mein aate hain, sab comedians se ek hi request hai—haath jod ke guzarish hai ki please aisa content mat banao.”
Expressing concern for the future, B Praak urged content creators to focus on meaningful and inspirational material rather than promoting offensive humor, “Hamare Indian culture ko bachakar rakho. Logon ko motivate karo. Yeh sab ghatiya content mat banao, please! Yeh ek request hai. Aap sab itne bade log ban chuke ho. Aapko yeh dikhana chahiye ki hum apne culture ko kaise promote karein. Aisi cheezein dikhani chahiye jo logon ko kuch seekhne ko milein. Lekin main sirf yeh jaana chahta hoon, un logon se bhi jo uss show pe gaye—waha jaake aapne kya seekha? Bas.”
Concluding his statement, B Praak made a humble request to comedians to avoid content that could negatively influence younger generations, “Meri aap sabhi comedians se ek bahut hi humble request hai, haath jod ke request hai ki aisa content mat banao jo aane wali generation ko bigaad de. Please aisa content banao jo naye logon ko aapse prerna de. Thank you. Radhe Radhe.”
For those unfamiliar, during India’s Got Latent, hosted by Samay Raina in one of the segments, Ranveer Allahbadia asked a contestant, “Watch your parents have s*x every day for the rest of your life. Or would you join in once and stop it forever?”
