Punjabi singer Sippy Gill’s father has been cheated of more than one crore rupees by some people on the pretense of huge profits. The fraud has been committed by giving the illusion of buying/selling tools that are useful in the agricultural sector. According to the information received, the amount of fraud is being reported as 1, 03,73,000 (one crore three lakh seventy-three thousand) rupees.
A case has been registered against four persons and two persons have been arrested after a formal complaint was filed. Ramandeep Singh, deputy police captain of Dharamkot, said that Joginder Singh, father of singer Sippy Gill, was tricked into selling straw balers, trucks, tractors, cars and agricultural implements at a cheap price which included Jasjit Singh alias Pretty, Sarabjit Singh, Jagjit Kaur and Sandeep Kaur.
The said accused gradually took more than one crore rupees from Joginder Singh. After finding out about the fraud, the victim lodged a complaint with the police.
A case has been registered at Thana Mehna after the matter was investigated by the chief of CIA staff, Daljit Singh Brar. The police officer said that two accused, Jasjit Singh Pretty and Jagjit Kaur have been arrested. Efforts are being made by the police to nab the remaining two.
