Head Constable Sahil, serving with the CIA staff in Amritsar, has made the Police Commissionerate proud by winning two gold medals in arm wrestling—both in the left- and right-hand categories—at the World Police Games held in the United States. The competition, which ran from June 27 to July 6, 2025, saw participation from over 8,500 athletes representing 70 nations. Sahil showcased exceptional strength and determination by defeating contenders from Canada, Brazil, the USA, Bulgaria, and Vietnam.
Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and DCP (Investigation) Ravinder Pal Singh congratulated Sahil on his remarkable feat and extended their best wishes for his future endeavors.
Adding to Punjab Police’s sporting accomplishments, SSP Daljit Singh Rana also brought home a gold medal from the International Police Games in Atlanta. Competing in the veterans’ javelin throw category, he not only secured first place but also set a new record, marking a historic achievement on the global stage.
Currently posted in Anandpur Sahib, SSP Rana is widely respected for his discipline and commitment, both in law enforcement and athletics. His stellar performance against international veteran athletes earned him widespread appreciation and recognition. A Punjab Police spokesperson described the victory as a proud moment for both the police department and the entire state.
