Popular comedian Jeeveshu Ahluwalia has given hearty laughter to everyone with his standup comic acts. However, not many not about a heart-warming side that he never shares that too often.
In an exclusive interview with GhaintPunjab, Jeeveshu revealed that he lost his father while he was four years old. The comedian crediting his success to his mother says, “If it wasn’t for my mother, I would’ve been a drug dealer or a dead body. So, if I am not both of them, that is purely because of her.”
He further continues by sharing, “My mother is very educated. She is B.A., double M.A. and B.Ed and I am a third division graduate and she had a very simple rule. Never fail any class. She wanted me to be a doctor but when she saw my tenth result, she quipped, “ye chapdaasi bhi lag jaye kahin pe to bahut hai.”
“One should’ve realistic dreams,” he chuckled further recalling his mother telling him that he won’t even qualify for a peon’s post anywhere. The comedian mentions that he has lived with his mother long enough to have her influence on his life. “Maa bhi vahi hai, baap bhi vahi hai. Every father’s day I put her picture up, caption it Happy Father’s Day mumma and har saal main vahi daalta hoon.”
He concludes by opining when one doesn’t have a husband, they tend to become close to their kids. He also states that a mother is same everywhere irrespective of caste, creed, political affiliations and religion.
