On August 30th, 2016 we broke open the news to you about this new film 'Yaari Te Sardaari' which was to go on floor somewhere in the late 2016.
Though more than an year later, but here's an update coming from their end.
According to a recent daily, the dashing actor Kabir Bedi has been roped in for this film. Kabir was last seen in Punjabi cinema in the 2011 hit Yaara O Dildaara, starring Harbhajan Mann, Tulip Joshi, Kabir Bedi, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Gulzar Inder Chahal and Jonita Doda in lead roles and was directed by Ksshitij Chaudhary.
Bedi, reveal sources, who is a true blue Punjabi himself, is now open to doing Punjabi movies. His character in 'Yaari Te Sardaari' is presumably and important one. This project is being helmed by Director Simranjit Singh.
The project will kick off from Punjab in June and will star Ranjha Vikram Singh in titular role. The screenplay and dialogue work for the film is being done by Prince Kanwaljit Singh.
According to sources, the plot of the film is intense and will show various elements in the backdrop of fight for supremacy.

Before this, Vikram was seen in two Punjabi films namely 25 Kille and Motor Mitran Di. Both the films did an average job at the box office. 25 Kille also marked his production debut in Pollywood. Last year, rumours were that Vikram was signed for a Hollywood film starring Mike Tyson.
Talking about the Punjabi film industry, Ranjha Vikram said to IE: “The Punjabi film industry is booming and this is the best phase for the industry. Even if you talk of Hindi films, a majority of the projects have Punjabis as their backdrop. Unlike Bollywood, Punjabi films have medium budgets but they are recovering their money as well.”
