Bhartiya Kisan Union General secretary (Tikait Group) Jastej Singh Sandhu was attacked on Monday by unknown men riding a motorcycle. He was open-fired at.
Jastej is the son of former Agriculture Minister Jaswinder Singh Sandhu and he was on his way to join the farmers protest. He has escaped unhurt. Surprisingly, the incident took place very close to the police station.
According to reports, Jastej was on his way to join the farmers' protest at Gumthala Garhu village, located in Pehowa Tehsil of Kurukshetra district in Haryana. When he reached the Beghpur bus stand, some unknown bikers opened fire at him but the bullets hit the windshield of the car, crashing the glass window on the driver's side also. Luckily, Jastej was unharmed.
The bikers fled from the spot. Jastej reported the incident to the police. The Gumthala police visited the spot and the investigation is underway. An FIR has been registered against these unknown men.
On the other hand, this incident has fumed the protestors agitating at the Pehowa toll plaza. They're now going to meet the SP Himanshu Garg to discuss this attack.
