Bertrand Russell had once said "Human life, its growth, its hopes, fears, loves, et cetera, are the result of accidents." Likewise one such fortunate accident too came into Miss Pooja's way almost one decade back that changed her life forever.
Back in 2012, when famous Bollywood director Homi Adajania was busy with his upcoming project featuring Saif Ali, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. Therefore, while working on Cocktail's soundtracks, he and music director Pritam got stuck on a beat song. The reason was not music or lyrics but the voice that was supposed to be a startling one.
However, through a common contact, music director Pritam came across Miss Pooja's name, which had created a buzz in the entire Punjabi music circuit at that time. Miss Pooja was then called to a studio in Chandigarh, where she recorded the song in a single take.
But the interesting part was that Miss Pooja herself didn't know that she had become part of such a big venture. Eventually, the song was mixed and released within just 20 days of recording. The song was none other than 'Second hand Jawani.' Alongside Miss Pooja, the song turned out to be a major turning point of Neha Kakkar's career, who was the second female voice of the song. Nevertheless, the song turned out to be an immediate chart buster and went on to remain on the charts for several weeks. Recalling that time, Miss Pooja says that she came to know about the release of the song from her fans itself. Although this quick release came as a surprise for her as she didn't expect the song to be released that early. Miss Pooja says that she had heard that it takes years for a song to be released in bollywood. But living up to its reputation, Bollywood once again took her by surprise.
