Indian actress Yami Gautam Dhar made her Hindi film debut in 2012 with the comedy ‘Vicky Donor’, alongside Ayushmaan Khurrana.
Yami has predominantly appeared in Hindi films, alongside a few Telugu and Tamil language films. She has a long list of films including ‘Badlapur’ (2015), ‘Sanam Re’ (2016), ‘Kaabil’ (2017), ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ (2019), ‘Bala’ (2019), and ‘Bhoot Police’ (2021) in her bag. Considering that she was brought up in the city of Chandigarh and her father is Mukesh Gautam, Punjabi film director and the VP of PTC Network, it is surprising that she hasn’t done much more work in the Punjabi industry.

Yami plays the role of ‘Rabia’ in the film. The story is about a young couple who adopts a visually impaired orphaned girl, Rabia. Things take a bad turn and Rabia realizes her death is inevitable, so she takes a big decision. To know what happens, you can watch the film! Other than this, in 2019 the actress had signed a new Punjabi film opposite famous actor Diljit Dosanjh. The film was supposed to be a sensible comedy, being directed by Aziz Mirza's son Haroon.
