Valentine’s Day 2025 marked a new chapter for Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee as they tied the knot after years of dating. However, the wedding was missing a key presence—Prateik’s family. His half-brother Arya Babbar recently revealed that the Babbars were not invited, and now his half-sister, Juhi Babbar Soni, has shared her thoughts on the situation.
In an interview, Juhi acknowledged Arya’s disappointment, stating that he was “hurt” just like the rest of the family. However, she emphasized that their bond as siblings remained unchanged. “Nothing can change the fact that Prateik is my brother and we are Raj Babbar’s children,” she affirmed.
She hinted at external influences affecting Prateik’s decisions. “Right now, he is surrounded by a few people—whom we don’t wish to name—who have influenced him. But we don’t want to put him in a difficult position because that won’t help anyone,” she said. Juhi clarified that her statement wasn’t directed at Prateik’s new bride, Priya Banerjee, calling her “wonderful” and saying he was lucky to have her in his life.
However, she suggested that someone else was stirring up trouble. “The real issue is caused by someone else—someone desperate for publicity and importance,” Juhi claimed, adding that these individuals feared Prateik’s family would steal the spotlight at his wedding. Despite the tensions, she insisted that the Babbars only wished for Prateik’s happiness.
Reflecting on their past, Juhi recalled celebrating his first wedding with enthusiasm and how their father stood by Prateik during his separation. “Right now, maybe he is processing things in his own way, woh khud ko khoj raha hai zara sa (he’s searching for himself a little),” she remarked, expressing hope for future reunions. “For now, we are letting it pass,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Prateik and Priya made their first public appearance as newlyweds on February 14, dressed in matching ivory outfits and sharing affectionate moments for the paparazzi. While the Babbar family may have missed this milestone, Juhi remains hopeful that happier celebrations await them in the future.
