Canada-based Punjabi Artist Jarnail Singh has passed away. Born into an artist Father S.Karnail Singh, Jarnail Singh grew up in Ferozpur and completed his higher education in Chandigarh. Following in his father’s footsteps, he took part in many painting exhibitions across India. He even got the Punjab Lalit Kala Academy Award for his work in the field of art and painting.
Many of his paintings are showcased in museums of Punjab & even abroad. He had shown cultural & historical events of Punjab through his paintings. He had moved to Canada more than four decades back. He came back to India around a month back and was in Chandigarh reaching out to his friends for get-togethers. Before he could head back to Canada, he passed away in his motherland, leaving his legacy of celebrated artwork behind.
