Delbar Opens up about her father in her candid conversation with Ghaint Punjab where she reveals that her father descends from Iran and her mother’s roots are from Kashmir. She believes her acting skills are genetically inherited from her father who himself is a renowned face in Iran.
Delbar grew up watching her dad performing on movie sets and doing night shifts. Her father was a senior and a successful actor in Iran who had a lavish and luxurious life. But due to no freedom of art and expression in Iran, Delbar’s father had to leave Iran for Germany where he also had to stay in refugee camps.
One unforgettable advice Delbar got from her Father
Delbar’s father never really liked the idea of her joining the cinema but he never ceased her to follow her passion. When asked what one advice she still remembers given by her father, she says ‘Apna Lihaaz Rakhna’. ‘‘Don’t sell yourself because of your beauty. Choose your true talent to be seen. Choose talent over beauty. Beauty is temporary’’, vividly recalls Delbar.
