Bollywood icon Manoj Kumar left for his heavenly abode on April 4, 2025. His unfortunate demise sent shockwaves throughout the nation leaving his fans and followers heartbroken. Many of you might be not be knowing but in an illustrious long career, Manoj Kumar worked in a Punjabi film called JattPunjabi. Released in 1979, the film was directed by Satish Bhakri and also featured Satish Kaul, Mehar Mittal, Komilla Wirk, Raza Murad, Bhavana Bhatt, Rajendra Nath and Yash Sharma among others.
In addition to this, Manoj Kumar also played the role of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in 1965 released film, Shaheed. His powerful portrayal of the freedom fighter earned him immense acclaim.
The film’s patriotic fervor and soul-stirring songs like Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna made it a cult classic. Apart from Kumar, the patriotic drama also featured Kamini Kaushal, Pran, Prem Chopra, Nirupa Ray, Karan Dewan, Manmohan and Madan Puri in the important roles.
