Punjabi actor Anjum Batra is currently basking in the success of his last released, Amar Singh Chamkila. In the film directed by Imtiaz Ali, he was seen portraying the role of Kesar Singh Tikki. The film has been receiving rave reviews from the audiences. However, here we’re bringing an interesting trivia about the talented actor, not many of you might know.
So, the Punjabi lad known for his roles in movies like ’83, Jersey and Maamla Legal Hai among others is also a trained classical singer. A couple of years back, in an exclusive interview with GhaintPunjab, he had also spilled beans on his singing craft.
The actor had shared he came from a well-educated family background. Thus, his family members also asserted him to prioritize his studies, following which; he came to Chandigarh to pursue his higher education. Nevertheless, a couple of days later one of his friends introduced him to late legendary music director, Varinder Bachan (B Praak’s father).
He went to shed light on his close bond with the late musician and how he insisted him to act. Upon his guidance, he got admission in the department of Indian theaters and there was no looking back for him.
