Amidst the Shooter row, a fresh tweet by the handle of Captain Amarinder Singh's Office has spoken loud about his stand on the ban imposed on the film's screening in Punjab.
The tweet stated: 'Punjab will not allow any movie seeking to promote gangsterism and violence in the state, Chief Minister @capt_amarinder Singh asserted in the House, saying his government would also approach the Censor Board in this regard.'
The tweet clearly shows that the CM of Punjab is maintaining his stand on the ban on this film. Also mentioned in the tweet is his strict attitude towards films promoting gangsterism and violence in the state for which, he is even ready to approach the Central Board Of Film Certification to discuss the matter.
While on the other hand, the makers of the film have appealed to the high court keeping the Punjab Cinematography Act as their base that a film cannot be banned until it is exhibited publically and only after it is seen to be provoking social instability, can the government impose a ban on it or may do as it deems fit in public interest.
For now, all eyes are on the Censor Board for their final decision on the film.
