Ranjit Bawa and Mahira Sharma led ‘LehmberGinni’ is one of the much-anticipated Punjabi movies which was announced nearly a year back.

Apart from the lead cast, this Ishaan Chopra directorial will also star Kimmi Verma, Nirmal Rishi and Sarabjit Cheema among others. The story and concept of the movie is given by Sukhjeet Jaito.

Earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on Apr 28, the film will now release on May 12 this year under the production banner of SSD Productions, Hang Boys Studio, 91 Films and Omjee Cine World. The latest update about the film was shared by the team on their respective social media handle along with the first look. Shabeel Shamsher Singh, Jass Dhami, Ashu Munish Sahni, Sukhmanpreet Singh, Naveen Chandra and Nandita Rao Karnad are producing the film. Well, the wordplay in the title signifies it to be a romantic movie. Interestingly, songs based on the word ‘Lamborghini’ became a trend in 2018 and now we have a film with a similar name but it isn’t the car, which we are imagining it to be, instead, it’s the name of the boy and girl whom the story revolves around put together— Lehmber and Ginni. The tagline of the film, ‘Painge Syaape Lehmber Saambhuga Aape’ makes this one to be an obvious rom-com set in the backdrop of London.
