Badshah Wrote Songs For Diljit Dosanjh? Which Ones?

The duo Badshah and Diljit Dosanjh are not only known for their superhit tracks but also their funky and flamboyant lifestyle they both lead. It is their brotherly bond which has led to so many superhit collaborated projects and no wonder, world has witnessed their camaraderie in the very popular ‘Koffee With Karan’ also.

In fact, we’ve seen Badshah praising Diljit on so many occasions.

Not many of you might be knowing but the start of Diljit-Badshah friendship goes long back to the times when Badshah was in the initial phase of his career.

Remember Diljit’s superhit track, ‘tenu gaddi ch bitha ke lai jaavan ni main LA nu’? Nostalgia hitting hard? Well, this was one of the songs from Diljit’s album ‘The Next Level’ which didn’t have the rapper’s name but it was written by Badshah. At that point, Badshah being a master of pen only used to rap and write but music was no where in the picture. It was later that Badshah developed his interest in music which was a pleasant surprise for Diljit also. As a result, today we know Badshah not just as a singer, rapper, composer – a full entertainer.

PROPER PATOLA:

The song released in 2013 can be recognised as one of the songs which was ahead of its time. Penned by Badshah, the song was quite fresh and different at the time of its release. The song had attracted a lot of eyeballs because of the use of relatively new words like ‘Swag’ and ‘Patola’. The song deserves even more appreciation as it was the first Punjabi song to be featured on Vevo.

It was the popularity of this song that it was recreated after 5 years in 2018 for Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor starrer ‘Namaste England’.

MOVE YOUR LAKK:

Another iconic song is ‘Move Your Lakk’ for Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Noor’. Another party number, this too was a big success. CHANDIGARH MEIN:

Last but not the least is, ‘Chandigarh Mein’. Though, Diljit hasn’t sung the song but its lyrics were jointly written by Tanishk Bagchi and Badshah while Diljit had featured along with Kiara Advani, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor for the movie, 'Good Newwz'.
