Legendary Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan performed at the Delhi reception of the celebrity couple, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. The video from the event had gone viral on the internet. In a recent conversation, Maan revealed that he had no clue that he was going to perform at the cricketer’s wedding. Maan recalled that he was feeling left out as he wasn’t invited for the reception, but little did he know that Virat had planned it that way.
Gurdas Maan shared, “Virat loves me. That day, I was thinking that Virat has called everyone but even though he loves me, he hasn’t called me. Because I didn’t know (that I was going to perform there). I just knew that I had a performance in Delhi, but I didn’t know that it was for his reception.”
He added, “Virat had already said that this is a surprise. The organisers were specifically told not to tell Gurdas Maan. He should only know once he reaches the venue. And here I was thinking that he hasn’t called me, and I was completely surprised. After that, I started singing.” Gurdas recalled the songs he performed at the reception and shared that Virat was translating the Punjabi lyrics in Anushka Sharma’s ear.
