Chandigarh Police on Sunday said that popular Punjabi singer Harrdy Sandhu was not detained and just made to sit in a police van for 2-3 minutes as there was some confusion regarding the permission for a fashion show.

An onlooker at the event said that the singer was just checking the sound and testing mic when the local police detained him on a suspicion that he was going to perform in the event.
Sandhu was taken to the Sector 34 police station from the stage for performing without permission. He was, however, let go after the organisers showed the required permission regarding the fashion show and his performance.
Meanwhile, SHO PS 34, Chandigarh Police denying on detaining Sandh said there was a confusion regarding the permission granted to the singer for live performance since we only had an intimation regarding the permission for fashion show. The singer was just made to sit in the police van for 2-3 minutes, later the confusion regarding the event was clarified.
