In a devastating terror attack in Pulwama, at least 40 CRPF personnel were killed on February 14, five years back. Punjabi singer Jimmy Shergill took to his Instagram handle and shared a heartfelt message as he paid heartfelt tribute to soldiers for their supreme sacrifice.
In the video, Jimmy stated, “while the 14th of Feb is associated with a color red which symbolizes love, we’re here to remind our nation of a day that marks love of another kind. Given the nature of events that unfolded five years ago, it’s also the color of courage and sacrifice. I bow down to all the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty five years ago in the Pulwama attacks. Their valor and courage will always remain an inspiration to all of us, and India will never forget their supreme sacrifice. Jai Hind.”
“Amid the celebration of love today, let’s take a moment to pay respect to the jawans who lost their lives in the #PulwamaAttack. There’s no greater love than the love for one’s country and its citizens. I got a deeper understanding of the events that unfolded 5 years ago after the attack, while working on my upcoming show, Ranneeti. It made me realize their selfless sacrifice. Come what may, #IndiaWillNeverForget our veer jawans. Jai Hind,” he wrote in the caption.
