A couple of days after Sunanda Sharma posted an emotional message on her social media warning against fraudulent activities under her name, Punjab police has arrested music producer Pinky Dhaliwal. The action is taken in response to an FIR against him following directives from the Chairperson of the Punjab State Commission For Women Raj Lali Gill.
A suo motu notice was issued after singer Sunanda Sharma alleged that Dhaliwal, who owns Mad4Music label, exploited her by withholding her payments for years, binding her to the company, and keeping her under duress.
For the unversed, Sunanda Sharma entered the industry with Pinky Dhaliwal’s Mad4Music label. She gave several super hit tracks under the banner including Patake, Chandigarh Ka Chokra, Jaani Tera Naa, Mummy Nu Pasand and more.
On Friday, the post shared by Sunanda Sharma had warned that certain individuals/entities were falsely claiming to have exclusive rights over her professional engagements and misleading third parties into believing that she was contractually bound to them. She clarified that the claims were completely false, fraudulent, unauthorized, and legally baseless.
In the post, she also requested those who have information regarding such misrepresentation to immediately report it to her. She assured that legal action will be taken against anyone found misrepresenting their association with her or attempting to interfere with her professional engagements.
