The ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 is already keeping everyone hooked. Every Indian is proud of Manu Bhaker’s big win as she clinched Bronze Medal in shooting. Meanwhile, Indian hockey player Sukhjeet Singh is also confident of making his national debut in the Paris Olympics 2024. The 28-year-old’s career came under the clouds six years ago when his right leg was temporarily paralysed due to a back injury.
However, instead of getting bogged down, the forward showed nerves of steel to make a comeback and break into the Indian squad for the Olympics. Sukhjeet made his debut at the age of 6 after being inspired by his father, who was also a former player for Punjab Police. Back in 2022, Sukhjeet made his debut for India and the youngster is determined to take the next step in his short career.
“I believe my hard work and dedication have paid off. Now, I am determined to fulfill my role in the team with excellence and repay the trust of my coach and teammates by giving my all in Paris,” Sukhjeet said in a Hockey India release.
