Veteran singer and actor Harbhajan Mann’s father-in-law, Harcharan Singh Gill Ramuwalia has passed away. The update was shared by the singer with a series of pictures featuring him, his wife and his father-in-law. In a long note, he expressed his love for his FIL and penned an emotional note.
He wrote, “ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹਰਮਨ ਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਯੋਗ ਪਾਪਾ ਜੀ (ਸਹੁਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ) ਸ. ਹਰਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਿੱਲ ਜੀ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੰਸਾਰਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਬਿਰਾਜੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕਰੀਬ 53 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਵਿਖੇ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਪਾਪਾ ਜੀ ਬੜੇ ਅਗਾਂਹਵਧੁ ਖ਼ਿਆਲਾਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਨੇਕ ਦਿਲ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸਨ।”
“ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਵੀਸ਼ਰ ਕਰਨੈਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਾਰਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਜੇਠੇ ਪੁੱਤ, ਪਾਪਾ ਜੀ ਹਰਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੱਦੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਰਾਮੂੰਵਾਲਾ ਨਵਾਂ, ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਮੋਗਾ ਸਮੇਂਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਨਸੀਹਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੱਲਾਸ਼ੇਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਹਰ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਦਿਲੀ ਨਾਲ਼ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਉਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਸਿਖਾਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਦੇਣ।-ਸਮੂਹ ਮਾਨ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ,” he further added.
On a concluding note he stated, “My wife Harman & I are saddened to announce the passing of my father in law Harcharan Singh Gill Ramuwalia. A beloved person who was known for always selflessly helping others, he passed away peacefully and we will always cherish his life & celebrate his memories. RIP Papaji.”
