Sandeep Pateela, also known as Pateela Ji,fell victim to a theft on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024.
The thieves broke into his house in New Geeta Colony in Bhargava Enclave, Jalandhar and fleed with gold jewellery and cash amounting to rupees 50,000/-.
According to reports the Bhargava police station started their investigation as soon as they received the first hand information about the incident. A CCTV footage showed a youth involved in the theft.
Reports further claim that the comedian was not at home when the incident took place. On returning, they noticed a broken lock and a screwdriver in the room, sparking suspicion.
Sandeep’s statement has reportedly been recorded and the perpetrator, a lone wearing a cap, had jumped over the perimeter wall to enter Pateela’s house.
An investigation into the case is underway.
