Veteran actress Asha Sharma passed away at the age of 86. She reportedly had a bad fall and was bedridden for a couple of months.
For the unversed, she started her career as a voice-over artist. Punjabi Film Lambardarni was one of her first acting assignments. Since then, she appeared in many big films like Ashanti, Bagawat, Jaanbaaz, Marte Dum Tak, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Hum, Jigar, Damini, Pyar To Hona Hi Tha, Andaz, Halla Bol, 1920 etc. Besides that she did many Television series including Buniyad.
On Punjabi film front she had appeared in films like Jigri Yaar, Yaar Yaaran De, Qurbani Jatt Di, Diwa Bale Sari Raat, Marhi Da Deeva, Dhee Rani etc. Late Jaspal Bhatti’s Mahaul Theek Hai was one of her last Punjabi film.
She last worked on Anurag Kashyap’s Lust stories and mythological Adipurush.
