Vikas Chawla is a chef and proficient hospitality consultant with extensive experience of over 25 years. He completed his culinary education at the Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management in 1996.
After working in the industry for 15 years, he established his own company, Core Hospitality Solutions, in 2011. He has provided consultation and partnership to various restaurants, cafes, sweet shops, bakeries, resorts, and highway joints. He has created innovative menus and modern state-of-the-art kitchens for his clients.
Vikas Chawla specializes in consulting renowned sweet houses all over India. He has particular expertise in highway joints that have a daily footfall ranging from 5,000 to 10,000. He also assists in the setup of live kitchens and commercial kitchens for bulk production. Currently, he has ongoing projects in over 45 cities in India and globally.
In 2019, Vikas Chawla realized his dream project by establishing the Cuisineart Culinary Studio in Chandigarh.
He has also written a culinary book on Punjabi Cuisine, taking inspiration from his mother, titled “Cook with Mother: Cook with Punjab.”
He has been awarded as Best Chef 2023, Title – Service to the Society, by IFCA Indian Federation of Culinary Associations.
He has joined NUTRIHUB (Indian Institute of Millets Research), Hyderabad, a government organization in India, as an ambassador for millets.
He was awarded for organizing the World Heritage Cuisine Summit at Amritsar, the first International Food Show held in India, in October 2018.
He has also received a national award for the Best Millet Chef from Governor of Telangana in 2023.
He is also a speaker on board with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. Recently, he received the Millet Chef of India award in a chefs conference at Mumbai. He has represented India in Indonesia and became a part of a prestigious event with the consulate general of India to Bali, Indonesia, Dr. Shashank Vikram in February 2024.
